Trading UP! (Nintendo DS Lite And Updated Friend Code Information (6-13)

I had not stated this before but I have a friend that is buying my Nintendo DS for $80. Due to that deal, I have decided to upgrade myself to the Nintendo DS Lite experience. Every single feature of the DS has been updated to provide more accessibility over the 2004 model.

I had to update the previous friend codes which can be viewed on the "Nintendo DS Changing The World!" Post. I'm also going to be bringing in more friend codes as they arrive over the summer months to enhance the quality of gaming between friends and the world. These codes will consist of players who are my family and friends that I meet.

As for the DS Lite I'm going to give a quick schematic of the enhanced features, this is not a must have item, but if your like me and have only one handheld that you play games on extensively this would be to your liking. I will also compare PSP to DS on lifespan, but not on graphics, due to the overwhelming power of PSP (128-bit) and DS (64-bit)

-Improved Battery Life (5-9 hours on highest brightness setting.) (16-19 on lowest setting.)
* The fluctuation in time depends on how "new" the battery is.
*The lowest setting was the standard on the DS and gave (7-10.) Staggering isn't it?
*If you were to compare the battery life to the PSP it would only give (2-3.)

-Brightness Adjustment Settings
*There are four brightness settings.
1= Default to DS 2= Bright 3= Very Bright 4= Eye liquefier
(When the DS Lite is first turned on it is on the third setting.)
*The DS had an option to turn off the backlight, but it became very cumbersome.
*The PSP light capability is that of the original DS.
*The default to original setting provides more then enough light in most cases.
*Don't play the DS Lite in the 3 and 4 setting in the dark! This not a joke by any means.

-More Compact Design
*It fits in your pocket and is made to be portable.
*The DS and PSP were portable already, but the DS Lite takes it a step further to just look cool.

-Bigger Stylus
*On a system where drawing is important the bigger stylus makes a difference. Comfort in your hand as well as your tracing ability.

-Spring Loaded Buttons
*They have a more comfortable feel.
*On the DS, the buttons were more likely to get stuck due to the unavailability of this feature.

-Improved Placement Of Buttons And Features
*Due to the design change this seems like it must have had to take place. No more crowding your hand to hit other buttons while simultaneously operating the touch screen.

-Miscellaneous Perks
*The price for the DS and DS Lite are really the same at this point. (6-13)
*The white DS Lite will always look clean on the outside from fingerprints and scratches.
(That color is my personal recommendation.)
*Buy skins to enhance the look of the DS and DS Lite.
*Time to a full charge has been reduced from 5 hours on the DS to 3 hours on the DS Lite.
-Gripes
*The speakers have been shrunken down due to design issues.
*The system is less durable if accidents or "accidents" happen.
*The DS Lite is only available in white as of (6-13.)
*The USB charger/headphone outlet has been modified for the DS Lite only charger.
Best to all, -John Ott
